Glenn Lester (Managing Director) set up the business in 1989, initially carrying out small jobs for people in the local area of Southborough and Tunbridge Wells.

James McDonald (Contracts Manager) joined the company at the end of 2009 and has updated and modernised the management of our projects. James has the task of managing the day-to-day smooth running of our projects and alongside Glenn overseeing all the projects also giving our clients 2 points of contact at all times

Sarah Lester (Company Secretary) has worked with the company from day one and manages the accounts and runs the payroll, V.A.T and tax accounts. Sarah is a key member of the team and provides the company. 

Tim Kemp (Site Foreman) joined the company in 1997 and was promoted to Site Foreman after years of dedicated service to Lester’s. Tim and James work closely together running and managing our projects. 

The Company grew when recommendations spread and an Apprentice Carpenter was employed – Kelvin who upon completion of his Apprenticeship has continued his employment.  The workforce went from strength to strength and now totals a team of 13. Lester’s become limited in 1999 and now has 13 full time employees including three new Apprentices, Jamie and Nick. Progressing well with their carpentry apprenticeships and Tom our Painting and decorating apprentice. Alan is the ‘all rounder’ who carries out any small jobs requiring attention and also works on  the final days of most of our projects, to ensure we have the same level of finish and cleanliness to all our projects on completion. Lee keeps everyone supplied with materials.  Lester’s also has two fully trained Bricklayers who are both named Simon.  There are also regular sub-contractors carrying out various trades who complete the team.

Lester’s (T/W) Ltd prides itself on having a hardworking, courteous and loyal team who always put the customer first and this will always continue to be the case.

Over the past few years we have carried out a number of high profile projects in Tunbridge wells and recently for Maviga international. This was one of our first commercial projects and we are proud to be part of the design and build team.
